Day One

Arrival in Nairobi

Your honeymoon begins the moment you land at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport. Our representative will meet you on arrival and transfer you to your hotel. Depending on your arrival time, you may wish to visit the Giraffe Centre or David Sheldrick Elephant Orphanage — both extraordinary experiences just minutes from the city.

This evening, enjoy a welcome dinner and a briefing from your Dawn Safaris team about the romantic days ahead. There's a palpable sense of anticipation — by tomorrow evening, you'll be watching the sun set over the Mara plains.

Day Two

Fly into the Maasai Mara

An early transfer to Wilson Airport for your scheduled light aircraft flight to the Mara — 45 minutes of breathtaking aerial views over the Great Rift Valley escarpment and the endless golden savannah below. Your private guide greets you at the airstrip.

After settling into your tented lodge and enjoying a candlelit welcome lunch, head out for your first afternoon game drive. The Mara rarely disappoints on day one — lions, elephants, cheetah scanning the plains at dusk. Return to camp for a sundowner and your first night under a sky full of stars.

Day Three

Balloon Safari at Dawn & Bush Dinner

Rise before the sun for the most magical morning of your honeymoon. Drift silently over the Mara at dawn in a private hot air balloon — champagne flutes in hand — watching wildebeest, hippos and lions wake beneath you as first light paints the plains gold. Land to a full champagne bush breakfast served by your pilot.

After a midday rest, one final afternoon game drive before your private candlelit bush dinner under the stars. A table set in the wild, Maasai warriors standing guard, the sounds of the African night all around — an evening neither of you will ever forget.

Day Four

One last optional morning game drive before packing up and flying back to Nairobi. Your Dawn Safaris team transfers you seamlessly to Jomo Kenyatta International for your connecting flight to Zanzibar.

Arrive in the afternoon as the Indian Ocean shimmers gold in the setting sun. You are transferred directly to your beachfront resort. Dinner at your own pace tonight — the island is entirely yours.

Zanzibar — Your Island, Your Way

Three full days of pure honeymoon bliss. Snorkel the coral reefs of Mnemba Atoll, explore the UNESCO-listed Stone Town alleys hand in hand, take a sunset dhow cruise with dinner served on board, visit a spice farm at dawn, or simply lie on your private terrace and watch the ocean change colour through the day.

Your resort includes a couple's spa — we especially recommend the signature massage on Day 6. On Day 7, a private sunset sailing trip has been pre-arranged as a surprise for the two of you. No phones required.
